my brother

we where diving thru some pillings, and i looked up, and there he was, the light above him, both from his dive light, and the light coming thru the water, made for a great shot.

spider crab

this spider crab put on a small show, i had to check the housing for my camera after this, he did get ahold of it. i was glad there was not even a scratch on it.

cabazone

ok so i'm not sure if this is a male or a female. but this cabazone was just resting on this log, made for a nice picture.

a juvinille spider crab

this little guy was just a juvinille spider crab. he was about the size of a dime.

a rose painted anenome

this sea urchin has rings, makes me wonder if he is a rich one or not. ( haha )

another sun fish on the move

this sun fish was another one on the move. it just happened to be on the ocean floor.

a sun fish on the move

there was lots of these guys slowly moving like this, it was cool wacthing this. i have never seen a sun fish or star fish move like this. very intresting.

painted anenome

how about that, a light purple sea urchin.

ratfish

if you look closey in the center borrum, you'll find the top of a ratfish. its odd seeing one in the day light, since they are noturnal in nature.

edmonds oil dock

this is the edmonds oil dock. it a great dive location.

skate

its rare to see a skate in mukilteo, i have only seen four skates now out of the three years i have been diving. its such a pleasure to take pictures of these small creatures. and on our way back to the exit point, we where greeted by the presence of a sea lion.

rock fish

this rock fish was stuck in a hollowed out log, so i opted to take the picture.

this is another rose painted anenome

this is the last of the urchins for today. i just can't believe the various shades red in the sea urchins. just so awsome, i'm glad i had the chance to photograph them!

this is another rose painted anenome

this is the third one, look at how deep of red that is...

this is another rose painted anenome

this is another sea urchin that is my favorite.

1 of 4 rose panted anenomes

rose painted anenome

this sea urchin i got about a half an inch from it. i did it to get the colors to show a little better. i was not expecting to get this good of a shot!

squid eggs

these are squid eggs. we seen 2 or 3 bunches of these. they almost look like rice.

agressive cabazone

the same cabazone, this time he got a little agressive. he bumped my brother and tryed to take his mask off. i wish i had the time to take that shot, but this one will have too sufice for now.

a male cabazone

this cabazone is one of two pictures. here, we swam past him. and on our way back he got a little agressive.

having a little fun!

this is my brother and sister in law having a little fun on the ocean floor. we just started our dive at this point.

reflection on top of the waters edge

i took this picture of my brother when we reached our entry point, talk about long surface swims. i like it because it gives a diffrent type of reflection. instead of a reflection being on the top of the water, here it is under the water.

nudibranch number 2

this is the other nudibranch.i almost missed this one.

nudibranch

this is the first one i seen. we where at the edmonds underwater park and seen other critters, in cluding one that almost took my brothers mask off.

the inside of some ananomes

heres the inside of some types of ananomes. i took the picture because i thought it was cool looking. i had no idea some ananomes looked like this on the inside.

orange spider crab

i like this orange spider crab, all i used was my dive light to light him up! and you can see my dive buddys dive light just starting to come thru on the other side on the bottum.

a bit of sun under the water

i used no light of any kind, and on this brontacle, i got 3 ( three ) nudibrachs. i like the pictures i take with next to none for light, and they turn out like this.

rose painted anenome on a night dive

this sea urchin turned out pretty good, after the fact i turned off my external strobe, and just used my dive light.

white ananome

who new, if i took a picture of a card to white balance my camera white would turn out to be this white. i was helping my dive buddy get familiar with his new camera.
